14th May 2012 by Farnborough Airport
At the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva today, TAG Farnborough Airport announced a series of improvements to its award-winning terminal, including a state-of-the-art ‘crew room’ and new arrivals lounge.
The ‘crew room’, designed as a rest area for aircraft crews using the airport, includes innovative ‘snooze cabins’, which are blacked-out and have a traffic light entry system to ensure users are not disturbed. Each cabin is also equipped with a reclining flat bed and personal mp3 player. In total, £50,000 has been invested in the new facility, which offers Wi-Fi, computer access, a drink and snack bar, comfortable seating areas, satellite television, an unlimited movie selection and even a library.
The airport has also opened a new arrivals lounge, which according to Sophie Lesnoff, TAG Farnborough Airport’s Customer Services Manager, is intended to improve passenger flow through the airport during busy periods like the Olympics, as well as enhance privacy for arriving passengers wishing to use the terminal’s facilities.
“We continually look at ways to improve our facilities and provide a bespoke service in order to meet the diverse needs of our customers. With the new crew room and arrivals lounge, we are able to offer a superior level of comfort, privacy and service,” said Lesnoff.
