TAG Farnborough Airport hosts fly2help Air Smiles Day
11th June 2015 by Farnborough Airport
TAG Farnborough Airport hosted a fly2help Air Smiles Day on 1 June 2015 for 14 children and six teachers from Henry Tyndale Special School in Farnborough. The children flew on a business jet and toured the airport. They also learned more about the life of a fire fighter at the airport and got to experience some of their equipment, including the fire engines.
fly2help’s Air Smiles Day programme aims to bring joy and laughter, create and capture magical memories, boost confidence and self-esteem and offer respite to individuals, families and groups. It provides people living with disability, illness, bereavement or isolation with a VIP air experience day, centred around a short flight in a business aircraft as well as other airfield-based activities
“The Air Smiles Day programme is a fantastic way to give more people the opportunity to become involved in the world of aviation”, said Elaine Turner, TAG Farnborough Airport’s Marketing and Events Manager. “It was a privilege for TAG Farnborough Airport to welcome the group to the airport and enable them to experience a flight in a business jet.”
